Vizcaya is a European-inspired estate with a Main House and formal gardens on Biscayne Bay. Built-in the early 1910s by Chicago businessman James Deering as his winter home.
Each year, 150.000 people visit Vizcaya, a National Historic Landmark and museum owned by Miami-Dade County. Visit this tranquil and breathtakingly beautiful hideaway in the midst of Miami.

From 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Vizcaya welcomes guests every day except Tuesdays, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.

Touring the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens
Vizcaya offers guided tours of the Main House and/or gardens for $5 per person. Tours last 45 minutes and take place on the first floor of the Main House or in selected grounds areas.
Tour itineraries are provided daily in the Main House’s Courtyard and Entrance Loggia. In addition, we offer general tours of the Main House in Spanish on Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m. All tours are contingent on the availability of Volunteer Guides.
In English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Haitian Creole, Vizcaya offers a 90-minute audio tour. For both the Main House and the gardens, the audio tour allows you to personalize your tour itinerary and areas of interest.
It includes interviews with experts as well as material that isn’t widely known. Audio tours and companion maps are available at the Ticket Booth for only $5.
Feel free to take your time exploring Vizcaya and tour the Main House and grounds in any order you like. Free maps of the estate in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Creole are available inside the Main House.
